I just wanted to let you know how much the treatments have helped my golf game. I have been getting adjusted for about 6 months now and have played my best golf since I played in college. Just this past week I played 36 holes and my back and hips feel great all day. I am finally able to turn my back instead of using just my arms. Five and a half years ago I was in a car accident and was diagnosed with severe whiplash. Since that time I have had daily headaches, neck pain, and upper back pain. I have seen numerous doctors, had numerous procedures, and taken just about every pain medication out there. So much so I developed an addiction to the prescription medications by, "taking as directed" and became a walking zombie. I was still in pain all of the time. I moved to the Indy area in Feb of 2007 and put myself into rehab to get off of the pain medications. Today I do not take narcotic medications and I feel as if I am alive again. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2008 as a result of the auto accident injury. I was still having daily headaches and neck and back pain. I went to two pain management doctors and once again they prescribed me with medications. However, I would not take narcotics. I was still living with the pain. My primary physician finally referred me to Dr. Dettwiler and Matthew. I was willing to try anything to diminish the pain. I had seen a chiropractor after the accident; however, the insurance company decided I was not showing enough improvement to qualify for coverage. When I first met Dr. Dettwiler he could not even complete my initial exam due to the pain I was in and the restrictions I had in movement. He was afraid they would not be able to do anything for me. I decided to bite the bullet and let him try to work on me. I didn’t want to live the rest of my life in pain and not be able to look up, down, or side to side. I didn’t want to live with daily migraines. So I began seeing Matthew. He was eventually able to get deeper into the tissue and I was able to tolerate it. I started noticing the severity of my headaches was not as bad and the restriction in the movement of my neck was getting better! Dr. Dettwiler started to do adjustments on me and I was amazed! Since September of this year (2008), I am now able to look up, down, side to side further than I have been able to in years and my intense headaches have diminished. I couldn’t believe it! My primary physician is also amazed with my results. No one would have thought I would have come as far as I have, much less been able to receive the treatment I have. I am forever grateful to my primary physician for sending me to Dr. Dettwiler and Matthew. I feel as if the treatments I received from them have changed my life forever.
